Well-executed body restoration transforms your classic car from a rusty relic to a beautiful and functional work of art.
The body shop strips all exterior paint and rust, repairs dents and scratches, replaces damaged parts and areas, welds damaged and rusted body panels, and prepares the surface for color.
Prized bodywork at Labrecque Autocraft includes –
- Arrow straight bodywork and panel fitting- We achieve a perfectly straight, smooth body surface, sanding, metalworking and fit panels together seamlessly so there are no gaps or misalignments.
- Lead work- We fill gaps and seams between body panels by melting lead and using it to fill in the gaps, followed by smoothing and sharpening to match the surrounding surface. Lead was a common material used in the original construction of vintage cars.
- Fiberglass work- We repair or create body panels with fiberglass, a common technique in custom car building.
- Accurate component detailing- This process ensures that we restore car components to meet their original design, appearance, function and specifications.
- Date Coding and Correct Finishes- We use this for original restorations and concours show cars. We know and can use the right paint finishes, hardware, components plating and date coding.
- Complete original and custom upholstery service- We repair and create custom upholstery for a car’s damaged seats, headliners, door panels and other interior components.
